White Centered Mexican Century Plant. This is a group of plants that one either loves or hates, but with the water crunch on, they are destined to become more popular. As shown in the picture, this plant has a wide center band of almost pure white with broad green margins. It does not attain nearly to the size of the species and isn't as cold hardy as the all green form. Its spectacular presence is incredible when grown as a container plant. It is one of the best "pupping" selections of A. americana. Here it is ground hardy to the low 20's, but in a container, it must be put under some protection during the winter. I have never seen this selection flower. Expect a 2-3' plant.
