Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Small Leaf Titi. The foliage is similar in size to C. arida, but it is found in more moist situations in its native habitat of northwest Florida. It does not start flowering at as young of an age as C. arida either. The fine foliage and smaller flowers makes it distinct from C. racemiflora, even though some consider it a form of C. racemiflora. It has a very upright growth habit with an ultimate size of 10' height with a 4-6' spread. I have seen it thriving in full sun in some rather adverse conditions with no irrigation, even though in its native habitat of northwest Florida where it is growing in moist conditions. The pictures below is of the attractive seed set which adds to its appeal in the fall and winter.
