ABG Yellow Abutilon. I first saw this selection in the greenhouses of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville Campus, and was smitten by its beauty, as one can see of the picture below. This was taken in late November. Several cuttings were shared with me, and I was informed that it was a plant used in breeding new cultivars and did not have an official cultivar name. The name is mine, so don't blame anyone else. It covers itself in 2 in. yellow flowers during much of the growing season. We have no idea yet of its ultimate size or hardiness. Once we have tried it outside here is mid zone 8 for a couple of winters, we will let you know.
