Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Golden Angel Japanese Shrub Mint. This is a little-known shade perennial in the U. S. I was first introduced to this genus in Japan where it is native. This selection has bright golden-yellow leaves when they emerge in spring which light up the woodland garden, and with this selection it gets to about 24" high. Spikes of soft yellow-white flowers arise over the foliage each fall. This makes a great combination with Hosta. It prefers uniform moisture and good organic matter to thrive.
