Whoa Nellie Holly. This striking cultivar was found as a branch sport by Dr. Michael Dirr of the UGA campus in Athens, Ga. When planted in full sun, the new foliage is a brilliant yellow and will fade to a chartreuse as it ages. As it becomes more mature, this plant will start bearing red berries, which make a striking contrast with the bright gold leaves. Give it plenty of space as it will get quite large, probably as high as 20-25', and always remember that siting this plant in full sun is necessary to get the brilliant gold foliage.
