Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Savannah Holly. This is one of the fastest growing hollies that will make a medium size tree with an extremely heavy berry crop. The color is a pleasing olive green, which gives good contrast to other darker green foliage. This is thought to be a natural hybrid between I. opaca and I. cassine. Its leaves are not as spiny as I. opaca. Here again, when one is looking for a quick screen, this is an excellent choice. It will mature at between 20-25' with an 8-10' spread. It performs best in full sun, but will tolerate some shade.
