Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Ruby Spice Summersweet. By far the deepest pink selection to date of this species, discovered as a branch sport of 'Pink Spires' by Andy Brand of Broken Arrow Nursery. In bud it is red, and as it opens it fades to a deep pink. Really quite outstanding with its 3-4" fragrant candles. It is a summer bloomer, flowering on current season's wood. They naturally grow in wet situations, but if kept properly watered, they do just as well on high ground. For best flowering, plant in full sun. This is a larger grower, reaching 6-8' in height.
