Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Wirlinga Bride Camellia. This cluster blooming Camellia is a complex hybrid of (C. tsaii x C. cuspidata) x C. fraterna and has resulted in one of the most prolific flowering Camellias ever. It is extremely captivating with its weeping-spreading vigorous habit of growth. It is mostly a late winter flowering cultivar which helps against late freezes. Flowers are white with  yellow stamens and less than 2 inches, lining the pendulous stems with hundreds of blooms. The first and last pictures are courtesy of Marsha Yeager.
