Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Splendid Chinese Ginger. This stunning groundcover is truly splendid and has 6", bold, heart-shaped leaves highlighted in silver. Since it is stoloniferous, it will make a solid mat of foliage in the shade garden. Really, this might be called the aristocrat of groundcovers. Probably hardy even into zone 6, where its foliage may be killed, but it will recover in the spring from its underground stems. It has fascinating flowers right on the ground under the foliage, but they are rarely observed since they are usually covered by its leaves. One can best enjoy these when grown in a container and viewed at eye level. This species was introduced by the Arnold Arboretum. China. The last picture is the size we are shipping. Zones 6-9.
