Kingsville Dwarf Boxwood. For many years this has been the epitome of dwarfness when one refers to a dwarf Boxwood. It is one of the slowest growers on the planet, and believe me, one will never get rich growing this selection. We have relegated to producing it just in quarts because of its slow growth habit. And please don't ask me how big it will get, because I will ask you how long you are going to live. This is one of the most ideal plants for bonsai on the globe. An old specimen of this trained in a bonsai dish will never be forgotten. It has the appearance of a 600 year old Live Oak, but only 12" high and 18" across. When one really wants a very small hedge in a parterre garden, this is the plant. Keep in mind that it will occasionally throw "wild" offshoots, so one must promptly remove these.

We have decided to release some of our old stock plants which are in 6 quart containers. These have been our cutting source for a number of years. They are 14-20 years of age and they would make some really special bonsai material. Some samples are pictured below.
